I got the Adventure Bible Handbook: A Wild Ride Through the Bible
for my 8 year old son. He loved it!
The first thing to notice about this book, is its high quality production. Hard bound cover, printed on heavy paper stock, and beautifully illustrated (in comic book form), this book instantly grabs your attention (as an adult, but even more so that of a child)!
The book is presented as the story of an archaeologist who disappears while on an expedition in Israel. His four children then embark on a mission to find him. Throughout their mission, they visit all the great stories, people, and locations of the Bible.
This presents the Bible in a whole new light. If you want your young kids to get more involved with Scripture and to read the Bible, this is a great tool to start with! I have found that my sons interest has increased, even to the point of finding some dog-eared pages in the book.
